Correction: An Alternative to Warfarin in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation?

A correction to a summary published September 1, 2009

The summary "An Alternative to Warfarin in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation?" published online September 1, 2009, contained an error. The sentence, "Median follow-up was 2 years, and study-drug discontinuation rates at 2 years were similar in the dabigatran and warfarin groups" should have read, "Median follow-up duration was 2 years, and study-drug discontinuation rates at 2 years were 21% in patients assigned to receive either dose of dabigatran and 17% in those assigned to warfarin (P<0.001)."

We apologize for the error.
